Have a testimony. Have a testimony of who God means to you and how far it’s been a blessing having him in your life. Memorize that story that you can easily tell to show how Christ has been the difference maker in your life.
When it’s all said, and done, the personal story of someone who knows you and is going through something similar is the best way to get to the person to think about Christ.
What was the situation that marked the person as a person of peace that made you speak to the person? Use that to get the person to think about Christ. If they have moved, share your experience with the fact that your relationship with Christ has brought you into contact with real people who also love God and are spiritual and helpful i.e. the church.
Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him
John 4:29
“I don’t know whether he is good or bad,” the man replied, “but I know this: I was blind, and now I see!” “But what did he do?” they asked. “How did he heal you?”“Look!” the man exclaimed. “I told you once; didn’t you listen? Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”
John 9:25-27 (TLB)
These scriptures go to confirm how many people in the Bible used their experiences to share the gospel with others who came to Christ.
